Transforming Through Learning

Education as the Foundation of Dignity

KI4BLI is committed to contributing to the broader Education Vision as outlined in foundational documents from international, regional, national, and local frameworks. At the international level, KI4BLI aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs) 2030, specifically Target 4.1, which aims to ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable, and quality primary and secondary education, and Target 4.2, which focuses on access to quality early childhood education to prepare children for primary schooling. Regionally, KI4BLI supports the aspirations of the African Unionโ€™s Agenda 2063, particularly Goal 18, which envisions empowered and engaged youth and children. Additionally, the East African Community Vision 2050 emphasizes quality and access to education under Goal 3.7.1 (a) (1), aiming to build an inclusive and quality education system that promotes sustainable development and social cohesion. At the national level, KI4BLI aligns with Kenyaโ€™s Vision 2030 and SHIRIKA PLAN objectives 2 Access to integrated Services and 3 Human Capital & Skills Development, which aspire to create an educated and skilled population capable of generating, sharing, and utilizing knowledge effectively. Locally, through the Kalobeyei Integrated Socio-Economic Development Program (KISEDP II) 2023-27, KI4BLI supports the strategic objective of increasing access to quality and cost-effective education within refugee and host communities.
